SHAKA! Dove with captain Chris, Matt and Nadine on Jan. 7 and had an awesome
time. We dove Cathedral and Sgt. Major. Both sites provided excellent diving(vis, marine
life, coral, lava, weather everything was great). This was my first boat dive and
will probably remain at the top of the list for a long time. Thanks. Real professional
operation. Oh yeah, Matt, everyone thinks the pictures are cool.

We just got back from our vacation in Maui. The only purpose for our son in going to Maui was to go on a boatdive. He chose your group from the web site. I have been a diver since 1966. At that time I lied about my age to get into the class. I taught for over ten years. The two dives we did with your group were the two best dives I have ever done. Amy was our dive leader and I was very impressed with her skill as a diver, a dive leader and as a people person. She took the time to talk with everyone and made each of us comfortable. My son infromed me that when we go back, not if we go back, to Maui we will dive with your group again. Thank-you for showing my family a good time.

HI I went on a dive with my family and we were very impressed with the service
we got everything was simple and organized. Dive leaders, Amy and Victoria, knew
their stuff. We realy enjoyed that dive. If we ever come back to Maui we will
go on this dive again

My friend Paul and I went Scuba diving on 9/22 with Anthony as
our dive leader/instructor, Eric as the Captain and Victoria as the other instructor.
We went to the Cathedral off Lanai, then to another spot where the little white
tip shark hangs out off Lanai. I really had a great time and so did Paul. Anthony
was especially great, as well as being very friendly and personable. I regard
that day as my favorite in Maui, I wish I could have afforded to just scuba dive
with you folks the whole time I was there. Thanks for being so cool. Julie Sanday

I had chance to dive Lanai’s 1st Cathedral and Sargent Major with Extended Horizons last week and have to say it was memorable. I had seen some sharks in previous dives but always from a distance. Our guide, Anthony got us up close and personable. After the dive, he asked if it was my first shark. I said a seeing a shark is kind of like sex, it always feels like the first time. The white tip looked to be 5 or 6 feet and 2 to 3 feet away at times. I know everything is actually 30% bigger under water, so I guess it was 4 or 5 feet. Does that mean it was closer than I thought? While the equipment wasn’t as nice as other’s operators (Ed Robinson and Maui Dive) I dove in Maui, the whole crew was very professional and explained where we were going and what we were going to see. By the way the trip also included a pod of 30 – 40 dolphin. I will definitely visit Lanai and Extended Horizons the next time I get to Maui.

Tony,
Thanks for a great dive. The turtles, dolphins, and sharks
were spectacular, but I think my favorite "critter" was the dragon wrasse. The bigger creatures grab your attention, but the smaller ones are more fascinating. I can't wait until next year to go diving with you again.

My buddy and I wanted to see Flame Wrasses. Erik & Victoria
took us to a small reef that was swarming with these
spectacular but elusive fish. Nearby reefs, though
identical in appearance, were devoid of them. These folks
really know their marine life and their dive sites. It was
an extra trip, cheerfully undertaken just for us. Thanks

We just took a dive trip with Erik, Victoria and Amy this past week. We had two great dives and enjoyed the friendly and efficient service we received. The boat was great, the crew worked hard to make the trip enjoyable and the package was the best value we got on Maui. Great tour by Victoria - highlights being a juvenile white tip shark and a GIANT Japanese Eel (Easily 5 or 6 feet long!). Thanks again.

-a note of thanks for some great diving during my recent visit to Maui.
This was my first time out with you guys. I was looking for a shorter route to Lanai than I've done previously - but was very pleasantly surprised with a trip to Molokai - a real first for me and beautifuyl dive sites. The numbers and variety of reeflife was truly spectacular.
Would have been better if I hadn't forgotten to turn on my computer on the first dive though - than I could have stayed down longer on the second.
Will definitely be calling you next year - I still want to revisit Cathedrals.

I just finished 8 days of diving with Extened Horizons and had a wonderful
time. This is a good operation where the crew is friendly and compitent. They
are very good at sharing their knowledge of the local marine life with occasional
emphasis on what is rare and/or endemic to Hawaii. The diving at Lanai is great!
Visiting numerous dive sites, we saw several different types of eels and lobsters,
turtles, octopus, white-tip reef sharks, those odd looking frog fish, and much
more. Extended Horizons certainly has my recommendation and I am looking forward
to my next visit with these folks!

Hi, there! Had awesome dives with Amy, Susie and Chris
in January 1999.
It was really nice to see beautiful and plentiful marine
life and underwater lava formations around Lanai but it also
made me fully realize the true beauty of my usual cold, dark and
murky wreck diving in the North-Eastern Atlantic.
I proudly wear your T-shirt on local boats and hope
to dive with you some day again.
P.S. Amy, thanks for showing me that huge moray eel.

Erik, Chris and Chris (obviously brothers!): We can't tell you how much fun we
had diving with Extended Horizon. You guys are serious about your diving and
definitely have the best dive guides on the island! (we've seen the rest!).
The dolphin dive off Lanai, where we ran into a school of 45-50 dolphin, was the best
dive of our lives !! We are still talking about it and realize that it took a great
boat captain (Erik!) to drop us into the middle of them and get us off the boat
as quickly as possible! The Cathedrals dive was also great, and gave Russ the opportunity
to see his first white tip reef shark up close! Your years of knowledge and experience shows.
We look forward to diving with you again soon and wish your group only continued success!

My wife and I just returned home from a fantastic vacation on Maui. I had the opportunity to diving with Extended Horizons on Wednesday June 24th ith Chris and his crew of lovely ladies! What a morning we had. Catherdrial II was fantastic and Wash Rock was spectacular as well. The dive masters (Suzie and I'm sorry for not remembering the other woman's name) were absolutely top notch. I learned about the different animal life and saw things that I only could have dreamed of previously. Chris did a wonderful job piloting our craft to the back side of Lanai. The seas were a little rough but everyone got through it just fine. I went on a total of five dives wile visiting the magical land of Maui and I'm sorry that only two were with Extened Horizons. If I were to do it again the only thing I would change is the the first three dives I attended from my Hotel dive center. Extend Horizons was worth every penny and I can't wait to visit with them again in the future. Thank you again and Aloha my friends!

We dove with you guys 4-10-99. This was the best dive of my life so far. Had a white tipped shark come so close it bumped my fin. I look at sharks in a new way now that I have dove with them. The sites we went to were Sharksfin and The Lighthouse, visibility was 150'!! The crew took care of everthing all we did was dive and eat. On Fish Bowl dive, two white tip sharks, great fish and an octopus. Great dive commentary in the water and out, fun (bumpy!) boat trip, excellent boat captain and terrific dive masters. I've been diving for 25 years now, and I can honestly say that Extended Horizons gave me the BEST dives and customer service I've ever had during that time. It's like having your own personal tour guide. Tell 'em what you're looking for in a dive, and they will do their utmost to "fill your order". We dove with Extended Horizons Sunday, March 14 at No Name Paradise and Cathedrals II. You guys were great! Your gear was new and good quality. Even your wetsuits looked good in our photos! The water was a little rough coming back from Lanai (some in our group chummed off the back), but even that didn't ruin two good dives. Erik was our guide and he was great about briefing, pointing out fantastic sights and in debriefing after the dive. The current at Cathedrals II was a little tougher than expected, especially for Diana! Diana says thanks for the rescue, Erik! We were a group of 4 with limited ocean diving experience, and you accommidated our needs beautifully. This was our second Maui diving excursion. You provided a much better dive experience and value than a better-known dive shop/operator in Lahaina that we used in 1993. We'll dive with you again and recommend Extended Horizons to anyone who asks!

I recently dove with Extended Horizons and have great things to say about the whole operation. It was the best experience of my time diving yet! I have dove with operations here in the Northeast and in the Florida Keys and Extended Horizons was by far the best. Lady Cyana is an operation out of Marathon Florida that is always highly rated in Rodales that I have dove with. Extended Horizons far exceeded even them! I also have to say that they are a very professional group. I developed an ear problem later in my vacation and had to cancel a scheduled dive. I spoke with Extended Horizons office and they understood my dilemna. I wasnt charged for the trip even though I had to cancell after the 24 hour window was past. This was much appreciated! Overall, the boat, crew and locations were fabulous. Eric is a great guide and runs a nice charter. I vacation every year in Hawaii and next time I am on Maui I plan to do all my diving with Extended Horizons!

This was my second year diving in October with your company and I really enjoyed the dives and the specialized attention given my diving friend Lauri Kiest on her open water certification. Susie does a great job as an instructor and dive master. The trip to Lanai this year was a little crowded and I would suggest you keep the number of people to 10 we had 13. Was crowded down below and so did not see as many things as in prior year. I will be back next year I am sure and would like to dive other sites on Lanai. Thank you.

I was lucky to be in Maui for the holidays and even luckier to have chosen your company to dive with. Cathedral I was beautiful and I have the photos to prove it. But what really impressed me was the staff. They were friendly, fun and professional.
I'm happy to say that I am going to be in Maui again this year and I will ABSOLUTELY be diving with Extended Horizons.

Many thanks for a superior dive adventure to First Cathedral and to Sergeants Major and Minor, with Divemaster Susie. Having only five divers certainly made this an optimum experience, but I think that even when full, your dives are probably great. I hadn't dived in some time but you all made me feel comfortable. The sites are excellent and we were able to spy almost everything I'd wanted to. No turtles, alas, but the sharks and dolphins made up for it! And a truly fine yellow trumpetfish. I'm glad that Dive Maui sent me to Extended Horizons and I'll surely recommend you to anyone I know coming your way. I'm dining out rather regally here in the desert and mountains on the stories of my Maui/Lanai dive with you.

Just wanted to let you know that we enjoyed fantastic dives with Amy,Rene and Chris last Tuesday. Amy took some great pictures that we'll send some copies back to you. The Cathedrals II dive was great! Even saw lots of dolphins on our way back after the dive.
You run a great dive operation and have really good people. We did take another dive trip to Molokini Crater that was good, but enjoyed your operation better. We truly enjoyed our dive on your boat! Thanks, Judy & Dave Crawley

We just returned from Maui and checked out your web site. My wife and I did a 2 tank dive to Monolith and Cathedrals I. Being brand new divers, we were a little nervous at first, but Casey and Amy really put us at ease. They did a great job finding out everyone's experience level and split us into two groups. The dive sites were awesome! Being novices, we liked the small group atmosphere, and did not feel like we got "lost in the crowd", but instead got just the right amount of personal service. The dives were very organized and the breifings very informative. Extended Horizons came very highly recommended by another dive shop, and we were not dissappointed. You guys live up to your reputation, and we would definitely dive with you again. Thanks again Casey, Amy, and Chris, for a fantastic time!!

The dive trip with Extended Horizons and crew on August 9 was nothing short of spectacular. Extended Horizons knows how to offer a rewarding diving experience to veterans and newbies alike. Amy and Casey are both top knotch dive guides with an exceptional attitude towards both the divers and the marine environment. Their enthusiasm was contagious. And what a site! It is hard to imagine a more rewarding dive than Cathedral I capped by cavorting dolphins at the surface after ascending. Thanks for taking good care of us; we'll be back.

What can I say that hasn't already been said. The trip with Extended Horizons was fantastic, Eric,Amy and Susie were great. The dives at shark fin and 2nd cathedral were my first ocean dives and I'm in love. The night dive with Eric was the greatest, ells and turtles galore fish everywhere. I could go on and on. As of now I'm planning a return trip to Maui in March or April of 99 and I can't wait to dive with you guys. I'm really looking forward to the whales also. THANKS FOR THE BEST VACATION EVER. :)

I had a great time diving with your company... The dive sites
were excellent, and I saw lots of interesting things such as
reef sharks, eels, a manta ray, and TONS of fish. The two-tank
dive that I did were my 3rd and 4th ocean dives. They were
great, until i checked my dive tables. According to the tables,
our dive guide took us within minutes of the No Decompression
Limit. At the end of our second dive, my buddy and I were Pressure
group W divers. On the whole though, I had an
outstanding experience.

I had two great dives with Extended Horizons at Lanai
- "Cathedrals I" and "Pyramids". We saw a reef shark,
morey eels, a 7-11 crab, 2 scorpion fish and lots more.
The swim thrus were fun.
I hadn't dived for 5+ years, Casey helped me remember all I
needed to know on the boat on the way to Lanai, and Amy who
led my dives is a great dive master. Chris did a fine job
as skipper selecting our sites and the order we did them.
I highly recommend Extended Horizons, they are knowlegable, safe,
and very friendly. If I am lucky enough to get back to Maui
soon, I will dive with them again!

My husband and I just got back from our trip to Maui. We had planned on going scuba diving, but were a little nervous. We took a dive with Jake and can't stop talking about what fun we had! Once I finally trusted my scuba gear and the water, we were off seeing the wonderful and amazing sights. Jake was an excellent guide and I don't think I would have been able to scuba without his patience and expertise. It was one of the best experiences I've ever had. Thanks! Michelle & Clayton

June 5, 1998 --- Did a two-tank boat dive with Extended Horizons. This is a first class operation that really lives up to their reputation. The boat was fast and not over crowded. They split us up into two groups, those with computers and those that did not have computers. In either group if someone used up their air quickly, it did not end the dive for the rest of the group. They simply swung by the boat so the diver low on air could surface and then continued the dive for the rest of the group. For those of us with computers, we were allowed to dive or computers, getting the most out of our bottom times and air. As I said, a first class operation. They are big on customer service and satisfaction as well as safety. I will use them on my next trip to Maui (next year) only this time I will dive with them much more. Thanks Eric and crew!

I dove the Cathedrals with you last August. The sights were outstanding as was the service provided by the staff. Even though the conditions were a little choppy which added to some extra fish food, I thoroughly enjoyed the dives and look forward to my next trip to Maui. Erik, Myke, Amy, Suzie & Chris: Ten days out of the water and my gills are closing up! Diving with Extended Horizons was (as always) the highlight of our Maui Vacation. Our first dive with you was on EH 1 in 1994 and we keep coming back for more. Every dive site was unique and the marine life so abundant I couldn’t keep track - thank Neptune for
green log book stamps. We saw it all: Dolphins, Sharks, Turtles, Eels, Lobster, Shrimp, Crabs (I’m getting hungry), Starfish, Conch, Turkeyfish - you name it! Amy and friends
have an amazing ability to ferret out the most rare and varied creatures. The experience and professionalism, not to mention sense of humor, of your entire crew is beyond compare. Individual attention makes each diver feel safe and well looked after and their enthusiasm is contagious. A really fast boat helps too! Maholo for “Extreme Horizons” diving and we’ll definitely be back An “E” ticket ride!

Well, I dove with Bob and Gail on the now immortalized trip to Molokai which resulted in the "close encounter" with the humpback and her calve. To see a picture of it (hey, Erik you don't mind if they leave your page do you?)...go to http://www.greendivers.com The picture isn't great...and how could it be, just sticking my u/w camera into the water from the port side as they passed beneath us?). My husband and I had a great time on our honeymoon in Maui and the folks at Extended Horizons definitely made it an incredible experience. At first we thought the offer of professional underwater photographs was too pricey, but ended up saying "what the heck, its our honeymoon." The results were terrific. When we got home I scanned in the photos and we both have a collage of 4 photos as our Win95 "walllpaper" at work. We decided the photos were so good we'd share them with our family members via the internet. If anyone would like to see the photos (and the rest of our honeymoon shots) visit our site at http://members.tripod.com/~timandkaty/Honeymon.html. We would definitely recommend Extended Horizons and especially the underwater photogaphs.

Hi! I went on a dive with you guys on 1/15. My dad was the loser with the
bum knee who went on the boat but didn't dive. :)
Anyway, thanks so much for an incredible dive. I seriously think it was
the best day of diving in my life. Incredible scenery and a very
enthusiastic and knowledgeable crew. Mike and the NC guy (I forgot your
name. . . sorry!) were awesome. And Amy was the best divemaster
(divemistress?) that I've ever had with her infectious passion for all
things diving. (And the fact that she showed me extra stuff when everybody
else had to surface and we had 1200 psi left!) This may sound, pretentious,
but it really seemed to me that you all were seriously into the art, craft,
and sport of diving as opposed to the glamour and trendiness. My trip with
you has given me the desire to become a serious diver. Thanks for a great
experience and best of luck in the future.
